Men's Retreats
The Men’s Retreat League is a group of men who organize the Men’s Retreat each year. The Men’s Retreat League serves as a vehicle for all adult men of the parish community to come together for a weekend of reflection, relaxation, prayer, and spiritual inspiration and sustenance.
There is an opportunity for private, individual self-renewal in the peaceful environment away from the pressures of work, home, and family anxieties. All events are voluntary. The retreat is thematic in nature and aimed at meeting the needs for mental, physical, and spiritual renewal.
Held in February, the Men’s retreat takes place at the Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, a self-contained spacious 65-acre campus on Tunxis Road in West Hartford. The regionally-renowned Retreat Team, which leads nearly 30 weekend retreats each year, brings a wealth of experience, theological education, and inspiration to your spiritual journey.
The 2022 Retreat
The 2022 retreat theme, “In the Spirit of Trust”, will explore the notion of trust and how it is gained, as well as lost. We will hope to share our personal faith experiences of trusting in God’s providence and help one another to build a foundation for lasting trust in the one who created us and loves us. And in the process, we hope to become more trustworthy Christian people on the journey of faith, bringing about a world of justice and peace as members of the Body of Christ. The retreat begins with a buffet dinner from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and concludes Sunday with the celebration of Mass at 10:45 a.m. followed by a hot brunch at noon. Families of retreatants are most welcome to attend the Sunday Mass and brunch at no extra charge.
