First, I want to express my enormous gratitude for all of you who serve as volunteer ministers in our Church. Ministry is the term we use to describe service done in the parish, for other parishioners, guests, and members of the community.

You listened to God’s call to do His work by making His church work. God called you and shaped you to do it. You give your time, your heart, your spirit to serve God and to serve others. Each of us has a role to play, and every role is important. 

There is no small service to God; it all matters. Likewise, there are no insignificant ministries in the Church. Some are more visible than others and some are behind the scenes, but all are valuable. Smaller, hidden ministries often make the biggest difference.
